Allen Family Drug’s Focus
Allen Family Drug is a locally owned community and compounding pharmacy in Allen, Texas. We fill both traditional and compounded prescriptions. We believe that pharmacy is still a service, and our focus is on each patient.
We believe that wellness is the next generation of healthcare, specifically self-care. It is easier to keep a well person healthy than it is to make a sick person well, and certainly much less expensive.

Andy has been the Pharmacist in Charge at Allen Family Drug since April 2019. Andy holds degrees from Texas Christian University and the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. He has over thirty years of experience in community, independent, and compounding pharmacy. Additionally, Andy holds certificates in compounding in the following specialties: sterile compounding, bio-identical hormone replacement, and small animal veterinary compounding. Further, he has distinguished himself as an expert in pharmaceutical compounding by being named a Fellow by the Alliance of Pharmacy Compounding. Andy’s focus is on problem-solving and meeting the individual needs of each patient.
With more than 36 years of experience as a pharmacist, including certification from the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), I focus on preparing personalized compounded medications tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Functional Medicine Focus
Board-certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) since 2015, I have spent over two decades expanding my expertise in functional medicine. My approach centers on identifying underlying factors that may influence health and supporting overall wellness through individualized care strategies. Areas of interest include hormone balance, gastrointestinal health, thyroid support, weight management, and nutrient optimization through targeted supplementation and lifestyle considerations.
Commitment to Patient-Centered Care
Throughout my career, I have worked with thousands of patients, combining a strong foundation in pharmacy with functional medicine principles. This integrated perspective supports careful evaluation of medication therapies, potential drug–nutrient interactions, and factors that may impact nutritional status. At our compounding pharmacy, I take a comprehensive view of health — recognizing that thoughtful, personalized care plays an important role in long-term well-being.
